Position Summary

Endless Frontier Labs, founded at New York University, Stern School of Business, guides scientific and technical founders through a performance-driven mentoring process. Participating startups receive access to mentorship, venture capital, and business development over the nine-month program. To support these efforts, NYU Stern School of Business has created an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Endless Frontier Labs.

The selected candidate will work with the Director and colleagues to strategically develop and execute core programmatic operations. S/he will participate in venture recruiting, venture evaluation/selection, and management progress through the program. The Associate Director will identify and cultivate relationships with centers of innovation in universities, incubators & accelerators, tech associations and venture capital funds to build a strong pipeline of applicants. S/he will interview and assess early stage science and engineering-based ventures and make recommendations for admission to the program. S/he will manage relationships between startups, mentors, scientists and students. The Associate Director will also manage operations including managing events planning and related logistics.


The selected candidate will have a bachelor s degree (MBA, MHA, or advanced degree in a STEM discipline preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with startups, technology companies, or venture capital or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven ability to cultivate relationships is required along with the ability to analyze and systematically evaluate ventures, create financial models, conduct market analysis, and strategic planning. Strong understanding of business models and drivers of success in startups across several verticals is also essential. Deep financial literacy, experience with fundraising and venture deals, project management is required. Experience working with high performing teams coupled with willingness to work independently is essential. Previous experience founding a startup or advising startup companies is preferred. A strong background in a science discipline is also preferred. International travel is required.
