Company Profile Cove Hill Partners is a newly formed private equity firm of over $1 billion that seeks to build a concentrated portfolio of long term investments in North American technology and consumer companies. Cove Hill intends to take an active role by partnering with the management teams of its portfolio companies to develop strategic and operating plans and to support the execution of key initiatives. The firm was created in 2017 to invest the founders’ personal capital alongside that of a small group of like-minded families, endowments and charitable foundations. Cove Hill is focused on partnering with high quality businesses looking to accelerate growth, maximize performance, and realize their long-term objectives. Search Mission Statement We are looking to recruit a Senior Associate/ Vice President for the Portfolio Company Operations team. This role will report to Yvonne Hao, and considered an integral part of the broader Cove Hill team. For this first fund, the portfolio of investments will be concentrated, with five to eight high quality companies in the consumer and technology industries.  Cove Hill is seeking a candidate who will help build out Cove Hill’s capabilities around: creating strategic blueprints; ensuring solid company foundations; and accelerating growth and equity value creation with portfolio companies. In particular, this role will work across companies on areas related to financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and business operations. This will include areas such as developing key metrics and dashboards, forecasting, and financial planning. This role also will require taking these metrics and using them to drive insights and identify opportunities. Last, this role will play a key role in communicating and gaining alignment to then to implement strategic initiatives. The ideal candidates will have experience working in a company in one of Cove Hill’s core industries of Technology/ Software or Consumer.  (S)he will also have a background in analytics, finance, strategy, and operations. This person will need to be able to “roll up their” sleeves as needed. Most important, this person will have high EQ and the ability to work with and through others. This role will be based in Boston at the Cove Hill office, but will require travel to partner with and work alongside our portfolio companies. Over time, the role may also be involved in broader deal sourcing and diligence. Responsibilities, Experience and Skill Set ·      Professional Background: Most likely 5+ years of strategic and operating experience including 5+ years in a technology/ software or consumer business. Would be helpful to have had exposure to both growth and operational projects. Time as a strategy consultant in a top tier consulting firm and/ or an MBA would be a plus. ·      Functional expertise: background in analytics, finance, strategy, and operations. Has the ability to work with large data sets, understand financial reporting, and know what metrics and levers matter. The candidate should have mastery of Excel and PowerPoint. Ideally, this person will also have had experience implementing and working with business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker). ·      Driving results: has a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and drive projects successfully through execution. Needs to have ability to work independently, stay organized, prioritize work, and manage workstreams. The ideal candidate has a bias towards action and moving quickly, while also bringing the team along. ·      Partnership orientation: ability to work effectively in a partnership culture at Cove Hill and with portfolio company teams. This involves having strong, proactive communication skills and high EQ.
