POSITION: Key Account Manager
DUTIES: Research market conditions to implement product and brand direction for focus categories within specific key accounts. Gather information to determine potential sales of adidas products, and lead sellin, sell-through, and retail activation for those categories to ensure profitable growth of the account. Gather information on competitors, prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution, and drive account growth and profitability by assessing and building on areas of momentum. Use statistical software and retail math abilities to analyze and drive the top and bottom line number for the account. Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand. Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies. Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, and analyze collected data. Capitalize on product and pricing opportunities and course correct with innovative sales tactics to improve sales performance with account. Leverage market and competitor trends along with buyer preferences at the category level to build strategic sales plan. Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, and develop strategic sales plan for retail account leveraging account insight and goals to achieve sales targets and align with brand and category objectives. Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution, and develop strategic sales plan for complex retail accounts leveraging account insight and goals to achieve sales targets and align with brand and category objectives. Collaborate with marketing and retail activation partners to drive sell-through programs at the account. Deliver on time reporting and forecasting for all required reports and documents to appropriate parties. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all internal departments and assigned key accounts. Measure and assess customer satisfaction and resolve credit claims and issues to resolution. Track and resolve all customer compliance issues regarding freight claims, charge-backs, shipping violations, returns to vendor (RTV), and design for assembly (DFA).
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field of study. Will accept three (3) year foreign Bachelor's degree. Must have five (5) years of field sales experience with key accounts within a consumer goods company in the sporting goods or fashion industry. Work experience must have included: experience developing assortment plans and merchandise plans based on retail space, inventory turn, and sell-through; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be willing to travel domestically 50% of time.
